Welcome Local 5 Live Viewers!

Good day to you! Thank you for taking the time to visit Wisconsin Consumer after seeing me on Local 5 Live this morning. If you liked what you saw and are curious about what we talked about, you’ve come to the right place.

First off, most of us know that Social Media can be great, but the algorithm can also be a killer. While I do post links to my content on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and BlueSky, I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to subscribe to the newsletter below. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ Why? You can easily scan the subject link and first few sentences of a post to determine if it’s for you. Second, because I try to cover the state of Wisconsin, you can subscribe to one or two communities’ posts, or you can subscribe to them all, too! You can manage your subscription at any time.

Another good reason to subscribe to Wisconsin Consumer’s newsletter is GIVEAWAYS! April is my blogiversary, and I’ve partnered with several Wisconsin-based businesses to give away some swag, but you have to be a subscriber to the newsletter. Of course, you can unsubscribe at any time, but I hope you find the content I’m bringing you of some value.

What will you see on Wisconsin Consumer?

  • Grocery Stores: Get the data of my research on which NE Wisconsin grocery store is cheapest. When I have time, I post a rundown of what I think are the best Deals of the Week for various stores in Wisconsin, like Woodman’s, Festival Foods, Meijer, Hy-Vee, Fresh Thyme, Metro Market/Pick ‘n Save and Aldi. Because I work full-time, I fit in content in my spare time; I don’t always get to every store every week.
  • Free/Cheap Events in Wisconsin. From Eau Claire’s Jazz Festival to Appleton’s Flag Day Parade, I try to highlight events across the state that are free or cheap.
  • Wisconsin Companies: I want to highlight and support Wisconsin businesses, from small stores to larger companies like Nueske’s, Door County Coffee, or Penzey’s Spices. I’m Wisco-proud and want to lift up and bring companies to light.
  • Author Events/Bookish Content: I’ve been writing about books for seven years over at Bargain Sleuth Reviews, and 2026 is the year I’m trying to read a lot more books from Wisconsin-based authors. Supporting the arts, which includes writing, is a big thing for me, In fact, (hint hint) I may be giving away a book bundle featuring Wisconsin authors during April’s giveaways.
  • Saving Money: Every once in a while, I’ll be posting different ways to save money, whether it’s an article on Which Grocery Store is the Cheapest, to Ways to Stream Movies and TV Shows for Free. You’ll find those articles and more under the Education Center tab.

Is there something else you’d like to see on Wisconsin Consumer? Let me know.

If you like what you see, drop a line in the comments.
