Milwaukee County leaders have declared February 23, 2026, as Fred Usinger Day; the company has been part of the community for more than 140 years. To honor the day, the Old German Beer Hall is offering free brats and beer!

This is the 19th annual celebration and will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Old German Beer Hall. Each person will be given one bratwurst, while supplies last.
And that’s not all! At 6 p.m., Fredrick “Fritz” Usinger IV is scheduled to tap a wooden keg of Hofbräu Munich beer! Free samples will be available until the keg is empty. There will also be live music later in the day.
Usinger Sausage store, which is across the street, will be offering in-store specials as well.
You can find the Old German Beer Hall at 1009 N. Old World 3rd St
Milwaukee, WI 53203.
