Update: Piggly Wiggly in Howard now has 30% off storewide, with some exclusions

I was wondering about the Piggly Wiggly Store in Howard last week because they had almost no online presence. And then I saw the post on Facebook that they were closing the store. While customers will be sad to see the Pig go, they can take advantage of the situation by grabbing some groceries for 10% off.

I would take this time to stock up on nonperishable items like canned goods. The owners of Piggly Wiggly say they cannot guarantee that weekly ad items will be in stock (click here for this week’s ad.) And that the 10% off does have some exclusions. A recent Facebook post mentioned March 28th as their last day.

I pretty much stopped shopping at The Pig the last time ownership changed. The fresh meat selection really went downhill, in my opinion, when the new owners got rid of some tried-and-true recipes that the Oleson’s inherited from Blazei’s. Does anyone remember that store?

Howard residents still have Aldi and Festival Foods for their grocery needs. The Piggly Wiggly in De Pere has different ownership and will remain open.
